☀️ We did a little staycation in Mississauga, to enjoy the last of the summer before my grad school goes into full swing! This trip was part of Tourism Missisauga’s #MySaugaSummer initiative, which is a campaign designed to support and promote all local Mississauga businesses, shops, artists, restaurants and hotels within our community over the summer months.
Here’s what we got up to:
🏨 We stayed at the beautiful historic inn Glenerin Inn and Spa. They’re part of the #ItPaysToStay initiative where if you book a two-night (or more) stay, you receive a $100 prepaid VISA gift card!

We loved exploring the local parks and restaurants:
☀️ Started with lunch at East Tea Can. I highly recommend their dip platter and mocktails!

🌅 Enjoyed the sunset from Port Credit. There’s tons of cute cafes and ice-cream shops for the little ones!
☕️ Grabbed breakfast to-go from Apricot Cafe. I’ll remember to call ahead next time to reserve a table. But we sat outside by the water fountain and enjoyed the freshly baked croissants and coffee!
🌳 Skipped over to Kariya Park, a beautiful Japanese inspired park, to enjoy the company of ducks. I definitely want to be back here in the Fall to see the leaves change color.
🍲 Right across the street was Square One Mall, where we helped ourselves to 3 different places for lunch in the Food District. The patio setup outside the mall was just perfect!
🍨 Popped into Premium Sweets to take home some mishti (Bengali sweets). Red laddoos are my go to!
It was a great weekend, and we can’t wait to be back!
